^1 "Error, a glitch in the digital stream": This line alludes to the concept of glitches or errors in computer systems, often used metaphorically to represent disruptions or anomalies in reality.
^2 "syncopation's rupture": This phrase suggests a break in the expected rhythm or flow, drawing a parallel between musical syncopation and disruptions in the digital realm. Syncopation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syncopation
^3 "A crack in the mirror": This evokes a sense of fractured reality or a glimpse into another dimension, reminiscent of Orson Welles's use of mirrors and reflections in his films. Orson Welles: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orson_Welles
^4 "a temporary fault": This phrase downplays the significance of the glitch, suggesting a conventional, rational explanation.
^5 "Information lost, entropy's gain": This line connects to Claude Shannon's information theory, where entropy represents disorder or uncertainty. Information Entropy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entropy_(information_theory)
^6 "The Road to Finnegans Wake": James Joyce: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnegans_Wake
^7 "Asia in Ireland (a.i.)." This line, added by Tanmoy, creates an intriguing juxtaposition, possibly referencing the global reach of artificial intelligence or the fusion of Eastern and Western philosophies within the poem.
